Detach and reset typically costs $1,500 to $4,000 depending on system size and complexity. We provide a firm written quote before any work begins. This cost is often covered by homeowner's insurance when the roof replacement is storm-related.
Will my solar warranty be voided?
Not when we do it. We contact your solar installer before we touch anything, follow their exact removal and reinstallation protocol, and document every step. Your warranty stays fully intact.
How long does the detach and reset process take?
Panel removal typically takes 2 to 4 hours. Reinstallation takes another 2 to 4 hours after the roof work is complete. We coordinate the timing so your system is offline for as little time as possible.
What if I do not know who my solar company is?
We can help you identify your system and manufacturer from the equipment on your roof. We have worked with every major solar brand installed in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.
Do you check that the system is working after reinstallation?
Yes. We run a basic output verification before we leave. If there is any issue, we troubleshoot it on site. We do not leave until your system is confirmed operational.
